Quincy A. Junor, born in Georgetown, Guyana, began his training under the guidance of his mentor Gloria E. Moylan. He is a graduate of the F. H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts (The Fame School) and holds a BFA in Dance from the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance. He has attended the Brooklyn Music School, the Ailey School, the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, and the Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School—all on full scholarship.

He was awarded the Dr. Marvin & Carol Eiger Scholarship for Dance and is a Richard & Mica Hadar Dance Scholar. In 2002 and 2003, he was a finalist in the National Fine Arts Competition for Liturgical Dance. In 2004, he received the National YoungArts Foundation Prize in Choreography for his piece „The Chase.“ He has choreographed for the Genesis Dance Company, the Purchase Repertory Theatre production of Derek Walcott’s „The Odyssey,“ and the Neuberger Museum of Art. From 2004 to 2007, he served as Resident Choreographer for the Teatromania Acting Company. Junor was invited to perform Gloria by Mark Morris and The Great Quiet by Lauri Stalling at the Kennedy Center and the Hong Kong International Dance Festival alongside the Purchase Dance Corps. He has also performed for Dove, Stellar, and Grammy award-winning gospel artists Alvin Slaughter and Dr. Pastor Marvin Sapp. Mr. Junor has performed works by Alvin Ailey, Robert Battle, Pat Catterson, Patricia Dye, Troy Powell, Kevin Wynn, and Nathan Trice.

He was a guest artist with the Errol Grimes Dance Group and Lane & Co. and was a member of the Genesis Dance Company, SYREN Modern Dance, and the Riedel Dance Theatre. After relocating to Berlin, Mr. Junor served as Choreographic Assistant, Dance Captain, and dancer for choreographer Jeremy Wade in the rock-electro singer Peaches‘ musical and film production „Peaches Does Herself“ at HAU Hebbel am Ufer. He was also a dancer and Dance Captain for Peaches in her One-Woman Show „Peaches Christ Superstar“ North America and Canada Tour, and performed as a guest artist for Nature Theatre of Oklahoma’s „Life & Time“ directed by Pavel Liska & Kelly Copper in collaboration with the Berliner Festspiele/Foreign Affairs & HAU Hebbel am Ufer, and in the music video „Make Believe“ by German artist Mignon Baer. He co-directed and choreographed for the German independent rapper RO! and Universal Records artist Simonne Jones.

His TV appearances include the successful series „Babylon Berlin“ (Seasons 1, 2, and 4) with Julia Fidel as choreographer, directed by Tom Tykwer, Achim von Borries, and Hendrik Handloegten, „Berlin Station“ (Season 2, Episode 1) with Julia Fidel as choreographer, and most recently „Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin“ (Season 1, Episode 1) directed by Todd Strauss with Julie Fidel as choreographer. Some of his commercial works include spots for brands like MEDION Electronics, Captain Morgan x Berlin Ballroom Community, and for Deutsche Bahn directed by Hanna Maria Heidrich with choreography by Litza Bixler, featuring former Formula 1 racing driver and 2016 Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg and singer-songwriter Iggy Pop, among others.

His three-channel installation „Katharsis,“ produced in collaboration with his project partner Miguel Azuaga, was exhibited at UdK Berlin and the Museo de Arte de la diputacion in Malaga, and was a finalist in the 8th edition of Visio – European Programme on Artists‘ Moving Images at the Foundazione Palazzo Strozzi.

Since 2022, he has been a member of the Flying Steps Diploma Education Faculty.
